Our approach to community participation is “focus on local community desires where we have the expertise to apply skills and assets we use every day in assisting our clients unravel complex problems. We provide the techniques to decipher, resolve and correct daunting entanglements that make the most lasting impact by helping non-profit, for-profit  and governmental organizations solve social problems and deliver authentic results.

2007 Volunteer IMPACT Survey Methodology
Opinion Research Corporation (ORC) conducted a national online survey among a sample of 1,000 adults between the ages of 18 and 26. ORC maintains a Web-based data collection operation, Web Services, which is responsible for programming and the output of data collected via the Web. The sample for the study came from the Research Now online panel. There was a 3.2 percent margin of error for questions asked of all respondents and a 3.6 percent margin of error for questions asked of only those who are employed. (However, this does not take other sources of error into account. This online survey is not based on a probability sample, and therefore no theoretical sampling error can be calculated.) Data collection commenced on February 21 and concluded on February 27.

While there are many reasons people volunteer, a vast majority of volunteers surveyed (74 percent) said they do it to have a meaningful impact on their communities or to fulfill a personal desire to give back. Most Gen Y volunteers (80 percent) are also confident that nonprofits could benefit from their professional skills and talents.
